The Dream Machine
The Dream Machine is one of Dexter's many inventions. Dexter used the Dream Machine in the episode "Dream Machine" to avoid having nightmares.
In order to use the machine, Dexter enlisted the help of Dee Dee to man the controls and to make sure he didn't have a nightmare. The machine appears to be powered by the Moon.
