Old Man Dexter is the third pilot episode of Dexter's Laboratory. It originally aired on March 24, 1996 and later re-aired on May 12, 1996 as the third part of episode 3 in season 1. In this episode, Dexter tries to make himself older so he can stay up late to watch a film with his family. However, Dee Dee's meddling with the Acceler-Ager turns him into a 95-year-old man.



  • This is the first appearance of Dad.
    • Dad was seen in "Changes", however, he was just pictured.

  • Dexter's family mistakes Dexter as his Grandpa when he looks old, and in the episode "The Grand Daddy of All Inventions", Dexter's Grandpa is revealed to look exactly like he did in this episode.
  • In the movie "Ego Trip", Dexter's old man self looks just like he did in this episode.
  • In the episode "Bygone Errors", Dexter's old man self looks the same in this episode.
